If you were dressed in the right costume, what would you look like. (Example: If you were blond with long hair and a beard, if someone put you in viking garb you would actually look the part. Except applied to you personally)

I would look like a young steampunk working stiff*, maybe an underage young man who works on an airship instead of going to university or something.
Or, given the right amount of costuming, an American ninja or something. I'm thin and can fit in to small places.

*I actually did dress up as this; it worked pretty well, if I do say so myself.

If you were a character in your favorite genre: 1) what genre? and 2) who would you be?

1: Industrial Science-Fiction (Think: HALO, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Stargate, Half-Life, Portal, etc.)

2: I'd probably be like this science-guy. Good with computers, tech and bio-stuff. Works alone, wears a hardsuit/biosuit to overcome his squishy-ness (to not die in the first firefight he comes across). Friendly towards alien species, but 'uncomfortable' with the law.

I'd probably wanna be a sort of long distance driver for a settlement in a post-apoc world. I'd go scavenging and search for other survivors and news of other settlements or possible threats to the settlment. That and I'd have my awesome car to go on said excursions with. Very Happy

What kind of work do you want to have after college?

Something that doesn't involve cleaning out toilets and mopping changing rooms. Mind you, the fact I HAVE a job is a bonus at the moment, so... Razz

I want to be king of the world and not do anything and make lots of money and build LEGO and models and play all day.

But actually, I'd really like a job that's just a little bit different every day. I'd like to keep life a little interesting, really. Hopefully something that requires thought, work, and minimal heavy lifting.

What will you major in (college / university) and how do you see this helping you in your future job(s)?

That particular question will probably come back to bite me in a year, when my school's finished and I have to choose something to study... Because right now I can only tell that I either want to do something with SCIENCE (Excluding Maths, if you count that as science. Preferably something with biology), or want to go in the complete opposite direction and do an art study... The second one, although I sort of prefer it (I think), will be the worse for a 'career'.

Up until now, I've never even had a single official job... And the prospect of school ending and having to change that by getting a job is scaring me, quite a bit.

Anyway, I think I'll try and take up a study in biology.

Any plans for when your school/college/university/whateveryoudothatisntajob ends? (This question doesn't apply for the older ones among us who have already chosen a career, or whatever.)

Oh, man, I have all of this planned out already. Which is scary. Okay so after high school I'm going to Temple University to major in biology with a minor in psychology, and during that time I'm probably going to end up volunteering to work with a suicide hotline or some other kind of crisis-counseling job. After I graduate from Temple in four years I'm going to try to get into Arcadia University's genetic counseling graduate program, and if that proves unsuccessful then I'll likely end up trying to get into University of Pittsburgh's similar program. After that I'd like to end up working for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a genetic counselor, or maybe for Fox Chase Cancer Center or a similar facility. At some point during my college career I'll likely end up interning or getting a paid job at some hospital or research facility, likely as a lab assistant or something like that. I like having a general idea of what my future will be like, but I'm willing to accept changes along the way. I'm very excited about the rest of my life.

I am a GOD at Spoons. Except when I play with this other family from church. They always end up either sliding a spoon away surreptitiously or just diving on the table screaming. Laughing

Have you ever played Extreme* Spoons?

*Let me elaborate. Extreme Spoons is basically Spoons, but with a twist: the spoons (or whatever object) are hidden around the house / wherever you're playing. Not just around the table, but around the house. Like, in drawers, down stairs, in a hot tub, on top of air conditioning units, outside, anywhere.

It's very dangerous.

Fire-arm. A flamethrower to be exact. Actually planning on constructing one myself. I'm sort of a pyromaniac. :3

(And for the record, I wouldn't want a giant spider as pet, I'd want one as mount... although I guess that counts as pet too... In a way. And Muffy, spiders don't drool, akshually. What I'd really want as a pet, of the critters that exist today, would be a small-ish lizard, the kind of type that likes to rest on your shoulder/head and eats bugs.)

Athuk, even though I mess his personality up EVERY SINGLE POST. I vary too much, transporting my own mood onto my character (Bad! Bad, bad Nirdian!).

My all-time favorites are still that bot I played in Irondrone's second Salvage RP and the Cyborg Stephen from Embedded, both epic RPs which were AAAAAGEEEES ago.

I take full responsibility for that one failing. I love the concept too, but I overstepped myself with that one during the school year. Now I know, summer only for rps. When Rise ends this summer, I will be free to move onto other projects. Razz

Oh, and my favorite music? Offspring, basically anything they sing.
